I am looking for some guest author programming and Web development related posts

December 12th, 2008 by Brian | 1 Comment »

I have decided that I would like to put some more effort into creating quality content for d’bug’s readers, and that means reaching out to the developer community. First things first. At the present time, I will be unable to offer compensation. However, I am working through revenue options that would benefit authors financially even after their post has been published. As follows are the guidelines:

  • The most important aspect of any post is that it is well-written. That means excellent command of the English language, and a friendly voice. You do not have to be an English major, but I prefer to spend time reviewing the content, and not sentence structure or spelling.
  • To that end, I reserve some editing rights, but will always review those with you first before publication.
  • The actual post cannot be republished elsewhere, but any source code will be made freely available for use without attribution.
  • Attribution for the article will be a brief bio (a few sentences) about you, and what you do, with a link to a personal Web site or company Web site.
  • Anything related to Web development or Web technologies is a great addition. It can be advanced CSS, JavaScript, language frameworks, design paradigms, software hacks, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Java, .NET, Python, etc. I am really open to whatever you want to explore and share.
  • Sorry, no profanity allowed.
  • You are responsible for copyright violations. If an issue arises, I will have pull the post.

I do not want to formalize this too much. If you have an idea for a post, hit me up with an email. It should just be a brief outline. This is a great way to share your thoughts and ideas without having to maintain your own blog, and I hope to hear from a few of you. If you have questions, feel free to comment.
