Position Description:

  • Plan, engineer, develop and implement the presentation layer (UI - user interface) for off-the-shelf and custom web browser-based solutions.
  • Provide ASP.Net development support
  • Communicate technical and design issues, topics and standards to clients and staff
  • Identify additional client service opportunities with current clients
  • Research interface troubleshooting and UI trends

Requirements Required Qualifications:

  • At least four years of web-based user interface architecting and coding
  • Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines
  • Experience with end user technology

Technical Competencies:

  • XHTML/CSS (strong) _ Strong experience and proficiency with XHTML/CSS techniques, especially as they apply to dynamic web sites. Usability, scalability and browser compatibility take precedence over the _cool_ factor.
  • Javascript, AJAX (strong) _ Strong experience and proficiency with the DOM. However, experience with popular libraries like Dojo, Jquery, Prototype or similar is a plus.
  • ASP.NET (mid-level) _ Familiarity with programming in ASP and ASP.NET (VB and/or C##). You will work side-by-side with seasoned Microsoft .NET developers and experience in the entire development cycle is critical. Experience in SharePoint web part development, custom controls, content management systems and/or portals is a significant plus.
  • RIA - Flex/Silverlight (light) _ Familiarity with Flex and/or Silverlight and experience with Actionscript. An aptitude for smooth and professional motion design is a plus.
  • UI Design (light) _ You may not consider yourself a designer, but have solid design sensibilities and can confidently apply design direction through the engineering process. You will be called on to fill design gaps and expand on design models during engineering and development.

Technical Leadership:
Independently motivated to research and provide direction in user interface areas such as:

  • Browser and OS compatibility
  • Web-based delivery
  • Mobility
  • Accessibility
  • RIA (rich internet applications)
  • SEO optimization
  • Social Web
  • W3C guidelines

Preferred:

  • An online portfolio site is preferred; minimally provide links to work online. We are looking for clean, well thought-out code that supports user-centric interactivity.
  • Consulting or practice development experience
  • Experienced with SharePoint and/or Content Management Server applications
  • Project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Certifications are a plus
