Our body’s unique electrical signal will replace fingerprint identification
IDesia, an Israeli securities firm, is setting the stage for a renaissance in secure personal identification. They have invented a biometric authentication technology that identifies the unique electrical signal that your body produces.
An individual places one finger from each hand on a peripheral device, which then interprets the signal and grants or denies access. A smartcard for secure credit card transactions utilizing the same technology is set to launch in 2008.
